Photos Around Pelican Cay

Sandy beach on Pelican Cay
After a hard day of snorkeling at Sandy Cay, we motored over to this small cay with a large beach (paradise found!).
We had it to ourselves until a family of five came along and decided to join us. (paradise lost !).
The large beach kept getting smaller as the tide came in.  Off to the right, on top of the hill, barely visible in the photo
are the ruins of an old home.  We hiked up thru the brambles to check out the house and the view.

Here's the house on the hill, or atleast, what's left of it.  It looked like it must have been a real nice place when first built, unfortunately, I assume a hurricane came along, destroyed it, and the owners decided not to rebuild.  Seems a shame.   Talk about privacy, seclusion and fantastic views.  The daily sunrises and sunsets alone must have been breathtaking.

View from Pelican Cay looking east towards Sandy Cay
Here's the view eastward from the house.  Down to the left (looking southwward) is the north end of Lynyard Cay and
way up to the right (looking northward) is the south end of Tilloo Cay.  The small cay directly ahead is Channel Cay
and just to the left of it is Sandy Cay where we were snorkeling just an hour ago.
