Lover's Beach Photos

(To reach this beach I'd suggest getting the book "The Elusive Beaches of Eleuthera".
They have good, easy to follow directions to all the good beaches on Eleuthera.)

The road to Lover's Beach
The road to Lover's Beach

To get to Lover's Beach you turn off the Queen's Highway at the right time and head east towards the Atlantic. At first the road heads straight thru low scrub growth.

Eventually the road breaks out into a large grassy plain.

Parking car at Lover's Beach

Here we are parking our car on the high grassy plains above Lover's Beach. You can see the beach down below. It's an easy short walk down to the sand.

Beach shelter

There was no shade on the beach so we made our own shelter from a beach towel and some trash found on the beach. We enjoyed a quick snack in the shade. We were the only ones on the beach as far as the eye could see.

Lover's Beach looking south

The view looking south along Lover's Beach. Not a soul in sight! The water appeared to be little too rough for comfortable, safe swimming.

Lover's Beach looking north

The view looking north along Lover's Beach. Not a soul in sight! You can see our car parked on the top of the hill. It's the square bump on the horizon near the center of the photo.
