While on Cat Island, we stayed at the Cat Island "Boathouse" near Pigeon Cay. The official webpage for the house is:

www.catislandboathouse.com

The house is located off the dirt road that leads past the Pigeon Cay Beach Club resort and then on out to Aligator Point. The house is the 2nd house past the Beach Club with 4 more houses beyond it.

The house is built up on stilts. Below the house is a garage and storage area. The house has a great 10 ft? wide wrap-around deck on all four sides. Here's some photos to do the rest of the talking !

The Cat Island Boathouse

These are the stairs up to the house. The first glass doors on the right lead to the bathroom (green and white curtains). The second set of glass doors lead to the combination livingroom/kitchen

Walking forward and to the right, you come to the diningroom table on the deck. It's nice to eat outside and see and hear the birds, but it was a problem when it was windy and/or cool. The table was large and heavy and would be hard to move to another side of the house.

The third side of the deck had the gas barbeque grill.

The fourth side of the deck had a LARGE open-air shower. It was roomy enough to shower with 30 of your closest friends!

If you were to walk into the shower area (shown above) the first door to your left would be to the bathroom. It had a roomy closet for storing clothes. The further second door would be to the bedroom. It had a nice adjustable Comfort-matic bed. However, the room was small and was just big enough for the bed. :-(

At the other end of the house was the combination livingroom/kitchen. There was no way to get from the bedroom or bathroom to the kitchen. You had to walk outside around the deck. There was no table to eat inside. There's an air-conditioner mounted to the ceiling above the refrigerator. You can see the microwave and stove top to the right.

The photo below is the 360 degree panoramic view seen from walking around the deck. Click on the photo for a larger version (224k in size).
